PACCAR Accelerates Growth with Record Q2 Revenues

PACCAR, a global leader in the manufacture of heavy-duty trucks and related products, has achieved remarkable success in its second quarter of 2026. In a recent conference call, executives from the company reported impressive financial results, driven by strong truck division performance, record quarterly revenues from PACCAR Parts, and robust pre-tax income from PACCAR Financial Services.

According to Preston Feight, Chief Executive Officer, PACCAR's employees have done an "excellent job" of increasing production to meet customer demands. The company's second-quarter revenues totaled $7.5 billion, with net income reaching $752 million – a 24% increase from the first quarter. This significant growth is attributed to the truck division's strong performance.

PACCAR Parts also made headlines by achieving record quarterly revenues of $1.75 billion and quarterly pre-tax income of $417 million. Gross margins increased to 29.8%, with Kevin Baney, President, stating that "increasing truck utilization is beginning to lead to more parts and service activity." The company expects higher parts sales growth in the second half.

The market outlook for heavy-duty trucks also appears promising. The U.S. economy's growth, combined with increased freight rates and regulatory clarity, has led to a strengthening truck market. PACCAR projects that first-half retail sales will reach 105,000 units, while second-half sales could total around 145,000, resulting in a full-year market size of approximately 250,000 units.

DAF's premium trucks continue to gain popularity among customers due to their advanced technology and operating efficiency. The European above-16-ton market is expected to reach 310,000 trucks in 2026, with the South American market projected to be between 100 and 110,000 vehicles.

PACCAR has also announced plans for capital investments totaling $700 million-$750 million and R&D expenditures of $450 million-$480 million. The company will invest in customer-focused technology and innovation projects, including advanced flexible manufacturing, next-generation clean diesel engines, hybrid and electric powertrains, and integrated connected vehicle services.

The company's exceptional range of trucks, compelling parts business, industry-leading financial services, and customer-focused product development strategy position it well for an excellent second half of 2026 and future. With its impressive growth trajectory and commitment to innovation, PACCAR is poised to remain a leader in the heavy-duty truck market.

As executives from the company have emphasized, this remarkable success can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of PACCAR's employees. Their exceptional performance has enabled the company to increase build rates in its factories around the world, providing customers with the highest quality trucks and transportation solutions available in the industry.
