Palo Alto Networks Hits Record Finish to Fiscal Year 2026 with $21.2 Billion in RPO and Accelerating Bookings Momentum

Palo Alto Networks, a leading cybersecurity company, has announced its Q4 2026 results, exceeding guidance across every financial metric.

The company's Chairman and CEO, Nikesh Arora, attributed the record finish to fiscal year 2026 to "execution fueled by record-breaking platformization adoption" and growing customer urgency to fortify their defenses against AI-driven threats. As a result, Palo Alto Networks achieved record Revenue Performance (RPO) of $21.2 billion, surpassing the $20 billion threshold for the first time.

Additionally, Next-Generation Security ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) reached $9.1 billion, representing a 63% growth rate and enabling the company to report one of its most substantial Next-Generation Security ARR outperformance to date. Notably, Palo Alto Networks added nearly $1 billion in net new NGS ARR this quarter alone.

The company's platforms demonstrated broad-based strength across Network & AI Security, with exceptional results reported across SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), software, and hardware firewalls. XSIAM maintained its strong momentum, while Prisma AIRS achieved a significant milestone, surpassing $100 million in ARR within four quarters of general availability.

Palo Alto Networks also highlighted the success of its recent acquisitions, CyberArk and Chronosphere, both of which are exceeding initial expectations. These businesses are gaining significant traction within the company's platformized architecture and scaling at an accelerated pace compared to their previous standalone performance.

The announcement marked a pivotal inflection point in Palo Alto Networks' transformation journey, with the company delivering strong results across its platforms and demonstrating the profound implications of cyber-capable models. As Nikesh Arora emphasized, "AI is a long-term tailwind for cybersecurity," and defending against these threats necessitates a unified data architecture where AI processes every signal.

The company's philosophy of real-time defense to unified architecture continues to gain significant resonance with customers, with approximately 220 net new platformizations achieved during the fourth quarter. This represents more than twice the volume for when Palo Alto Networks initiated this metric two years ago and validates the effectiveness of its strategy in combating AI-driven threats.
