PureCycle Technologies Sets Stage for Second Half Ramp with Record-Breaking Q2 2026 Performance
PureCycle Technologies, a leading provider of ultra-pure polypropylene production technology, has made significant strides in the second quarter of 2026, setting the stage for a strong second half of the year. The company's quarterly performance was highlighted by Dustin Olson, Chief Executive Officer, during the recent Q2 2026 corporate update call.
In a presentation that showcased PureCycle's operational, commercial, and regulatory achievements, Olson emphasized that the quarter was one of 'real progress on all fronts.' Notably, the company completed its plant turnaround ahead of schedule and below budget, executed over 170 site projects, and established a new daily throughput record in June. Furthermore, PureCycle successfully brought compounding in-house and is now producing materials to customer specifications.
The commercial front also saw significant growth, with revenue increasing for the sixth consecutive quarter. Additionally, the company's first Procter & Gamble application entered commercial production, demonstrating the market's demand for PureCycle's ultra-pure polypropylene technology. The approval of New Jersey as a recycled content source under the PureFive brand has further accelerated qualification at some of the largest food service companies in the country.
Olson also highlighted the company's preparations for future developments, including the successful running of Ironton under process conditions that closely match plant designs to be built in Thailand and Antwerp. The Board of Investment approval received by Thailand in the quarter paves the way for ground-breaking activities in the second half of this year. With all these developments converging towards a second-half ramp and Ironton breakeven, PureCycle remains on track with its targets.
The company's emphasis on supply chain readiness is also paying off, as brands are now accelerating their qualification process following New Jersey's approval as a recycled content source under the PureFive brand. This accelerated demand is evident in QSR cold cups, large snack and confectionery programs, and customer standards as exacting as Procter & Gamble, which is itself accelerating its commercial ramp with PureCycle.
As PureCycle continues to make strides in the ultra-pure polypropylene production technology market, investors and stakeholders can expect a strong second half of the year. With operational, commercial, and regulatory achievements converging towards a common goal, PureCycle Technologies is well-positioned for continued growth and success.
