RingCentral Rings Up Another Strong Quarter: Agentic Voice AI Momentum Continues to Drive Growth
RingCentral, the leading provider of cloud-based communication and collaboration solutions, has delivered another strong quarter in Q3 2026. The company's subscription and total revenue exceeded the high end of its guidance, while achieving record GAAP and non-GAAP operating margins.
Vlad Shmunis, Founder, Chairman, and CEO, attributed this success to RingCentral's leadership in agentic voice AI, healthy demand, and continued focus on expanding operating margins through disciplined execution. 'We're building on this momentum by investing in innovation that strengthens our market position and brings AI and human agents together on a complete integrated customer engagement platform,' Shmunis said during the company's Q3 conference call.
One of the key highlights from the quarter was the strong performance of RingCentral's agentic voice AI solutions. The company's AI Receptionist (AIR) now has more than 22,000 customers, up nearly four times year-over-year. Additionally, the ACE, or AI Conversation Expert, is approaching 7,000 customers, with a 60% increase in usage over the same period last year. The newest lightweight contact center offering, Customer Engagement Bundle (CEB), has reached more than 14,000 paying customers, growing nearly 50% quarter-over-quarter.
Furthermore, RingCentral AI, which refers to customers using at least one native paid AI product, now represents approximately 15% of total Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) or over $400 million. This cohort of customers also has meaningfully higher Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and net retention rates, demonstrating how AI is expanding wallet share, strengthening retention, and creating a more durable foundation for profitable growth.
The company's momentum in agentic voice AI is not only driven by its own innovation but also recognized by industry experts. RingCentral was named to Business Insider's America's Most Innovative Businesses list, solidifying its position as a leader in the field.
RingCentral's strong performance is also attributed to its well-established position as a leader in consumer-to-business communications. The company's platform carries approximately 40 billion minutes, 14 billion calls, and 4 billion text messages annually, making it an essential tool for service providers such as doctors, bankers, insurance agents, and more.
The ability to connect consumers with their service providers at scale well positions RingCentral to deploy AI agents across all stages of a consumer business interaction. This includes human-to-human interactions, as well as the use of AI agents to handle routine inquiries, automate workflows, and resolve issues autonomously. When judgment, empathy, or specialized expertise is required, a human can step in, making it possible to have a 'human-in-the-loop' approach.
The company's strong cash flow generation has enabled it to reach an important milestone of reducing gross debt to under $1 billion, ahead of schedule. This achievement reflects RingCentral's continued focus on expanding operating margins through disciplined execution and its commitment to investing in innovation that strengthens its market position.
