Sensus Healthcare Surges Ahead: Strong Commercial Momentum and Growing Interest Internationally
Sensus Healthcare, a leader in non-invasive radiation therapy for skin cancer treatment, has made significant strides in its second quarter of 2026. Despite a setback with third-party financing approval, the company has demonstrated remarkable commercial momentum and growing interest internationally.
According to Joe Sardano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, the company secured equipment orders that were expected to be recognized in Q2 but ultimately did not due to delayed third-party financing approval. However, this setback was short-lived as the 8 units in question have since been approved, and the related revenue will be recognized in the third quarter.
The real highlight of the quarter is the strengthening commercial momentum, which has occurred despite the challenges faced by Sensus Healthcare. The company's efforts to educate the market about new CPT codes and help physicians understand the reimbursement environment have begun to pay off. As a result, the pipeline is stronger, with more inbound interests and engagement with a broader range of customers, including independent dermatology practices, larger physician groups, and health systems.
The dedicated CPT codes remain a major catalyst for this transition. Physicians now have greater reimbursement clarity and a better understanding of the economics associated with providing SRT as a non-invasive alternative to Mohs surgery. As practices gain experience with the codes and see reimbursement working in the real world, the conversation increasingly moves from whether they should consider SRT to how they want to incorporate it into their practices.
In addition, customers are evaluating direct ownership under the new reimbursement environment, while internationally, Sensus Healthcare is seeing growing interest, particularly across Asia Pacific. Michael Sardano, President and Chief Commercial Officer, spent considerable time in the region during the quarter, including Australia, where he witnessed firsthand the increasing demand for non-invasive radiation therapy.
The future of Sensus Healthcare's business looks bright as it shifts its focus towards sustainable profitability and growth. The company is building a broader, more diversified customer base that can support predictable growth across a wider geography. This strategic shift is likely to position Sensus Healthcare well for success in the years to come.
