Sera Prognostics Takes Significant Leap Forward in Commercialization Phase with Strong Q3 2026 Results

Sera Prognostics, a leader in advanced lab tests, has reported significant progress in its commercialization phase during the third quarter of 2026. The company's President and Chief Executive Officer, Zhenya Lindgardt, highlighted the strong momentum achieved in Q3 during the recent earnings conference call.

In a notable achievement, the number of physicians ordering Sera's PreTRM test nearly tripled compared to the first quarter of this year, while test volume increased approximately fivefold. These results demonstrate that the combination of compelling clinical data and focused commercial execution can drive meaningful adoption of PreTRM in real-world clinical practice.

Lindgardt emphasized the significance of these results, stating that they provide early evidence that Sera is on the right track in its journey to establish PreTRM as a foundational component of prenatal care. The company believes that it has created a new category in prenatal care and is addressing one of the largest unmet needs in healthcare while driving substantial long-term value for shareholders.

In addition to these commercial successes, Sera also made significant progress on reimbursement during Q3. The company executed a multi-tiered strategy to expand coverage across both state Medicaid programs and commercial insurers. A second major Medicaid state has established coverage for the PreTRM test, with Florida now covering Medicaid beneficiaries and adding the test as a covered service under the state biomarker testing law.

This milestone represents Sera's largest reimbursed market opportunity to date, with nearly 90,000 Medicaid births and approximately 4 million Medicaid lives in Florida. The company believes that this further validates a repeatable pathway for expansion into additional states, where Medicaid policy often serves as a catalyst for broader adoption.

Combined with coverage in Illinois, these milestones demonstrate the growing recognition of the clinical and economic burden of preterm birth and the need for solutions that improve outcomes while also reducing healthcare costs. Sera is well-positioned to accelerate adoption of PreTRM and advance its long-term vision of establishing the test as a standard component of prenatal care.

With strong clinical utility data, compelling health economic evidence, increasing provider engagement, and growing public policy focus on maternal health, Sera believes that it has the necessary foundation to drive meaningful change in the healthcare industry. The company's progress during Q3 2026 marks a significant leap forward in its commercialization phase, and investors are likely to be pleased with these results.
