Signet Jewelers Shines in Q2 2027 with Strong Comps and Accelerated Brand Initiatives
Signet Jewelers, the parent company of Kay, Jared, Zales, and other iconic jewelry brands, reported a solid quarter with positive comps, driving more than 35% adjusted EPS growth. This achievement marks the fifth consecutive quarter of positive comps for the company.
In a recent conference call, J.K., Senior Vice President of Signet Jewelers, highlighted three key takeaways from the quarter: delivering another solid quarter with positive comps; accelerating key brand initiatives to drive comp growth over the holiday season; and growing confidence in the ability to deliver this year, with guidance raised for the second time.
The company's top-line performance was driven by high single-digit comp growth at price points over $2,000, including a strong Mother's Day sales performance. Timepieces continued to deliver strong category comp growth, up almost double digit from last year, while bridal saw low single-digit comp growth led by stronger sales performance.
However, fashion saw a 1% comp decline due to decreases in comps at Banter and lower price points in general, largely driven by metal pieces. Despite this, the company reported nice sales growth at middle-to-high price points.
Beyond top-line performance, Signet Jewelers continued to navigate tariffs, with diligent efforts from the team led by Stacey Johnson-Williams to minimize the impact of ongoing tariffs and pursue refund opportunities for direct and indirect IEEPA tariffs. The company's improved operating model enabled speed and agility in their efforts.
Looking forward to the second half, Signet Jewelers has several initiatives underway to differentiate its brands. One notable evolution is the introduction of Kay's new campaign, Love All In, which aims to move the brand from an idealized expression of love to something more real and authentic. The company has also redesigned websites for Jared, Kay, and Zales, with early results promising a more modern, intuitive, and inspiring shopping experience.
The redesign includes better imagery and product presentation, simpler navigation structures, and curated experiences that connect inspiration directly to product. This creates a foundation for digital growth through deeper personalization, agentic discovery, and greater omni-channel connectivity.
