St. Joe Company Surpasses 20-Year Revenue Record with $158.9 Million in Q2 2026 Earnings
The St. Joe Company has achieved a significant milestone in its second quarter of 2026, surpassing a 20-year revenue record with total revenue reaching $158.9 million and net income increasing by 37% to $40.5 million compared to the same period last year.
According to Jorge Gonzalez, President, CEO, and Chairman of The St. Joe Company, this remarkable growth is attributed to a strong focus on profitability and refining operations, resulting in increased gross margins across all segments. The residential segment saw a 48% gross margin, up from 45%, while the hospitality segment rose to 42% from 39%. The commercial segment also recorded an impressive increase, reaching 65% from 57%, demonstrating the company's emphasis on scaling up and growing while maintaining profitability.
The growth in residential real estate revenue was particularly notable, with a 39% year-over-year increase. This can be attributed to the diverse portfolio of residential communities owned by The St. Joe Company, which cater to various price points and product types, making them less susceptible to market volatility. New home prices in these communities range from $200,000 to over $5 million.
"We are pleased with our second-quarter performance, which reflects the effectiveness of our strategic initiatives," said Jorge Gonzalez. "Our focus on refining operations and maximizing the value of our assets has yielded significant results."
The company's strategy also involves systematically evaluating its operating assets to identify non-strategic, lower-margin assets for potential disposition. This approach may lead to short-term reductions in revenue within a segment but is expected to increase income and profitability over time.
Looking ahead, The St. Joe Company plans to commence the development of two utility corridors later this year, one serving future residential communities in the Lake Powell and West Laird Detailed Specific Area Plans, and the other supporting the Pigeon Creek and West Bay Creek DSAP. This investment will help facilitate further growth and expansion in these areas.
With its commitment to quarterly earnings calls and transparency, The St. Joe Company continues to engage with shareholders and investors, providing them with a clear understanding of the company's performance and strategic direction."
