Stabilis Solutions Surges Ahead: Strong Second Quarter Results Signal Brighter Future
Stabilis Solutions, a leading provider of liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions, has released its second quarter 2026 earnings call results, showcasing a remarkable surge in performance. The company's Chief Financial Officer, Andy Puhala, and Executive Chairman and Interim President and CEO, Casey Crenshaw, presented the quarterly results, highlighting key achievements and future prospects.
The Q2 2026 results reflect a significant pickup in momentum across various business segments, with notable growth in aerospace and non-power generation related industrial businesses. LNG volume sold experienced an impressive 79% year-over-year increase, while volumes grew more than 67% compared to the same period last year.
Looking ahead to the balance of the year, Stabilis Solutions expects steady improvements in revenue and profitability through the third and fourth quarters. This growth is expected to be driven by newly awarded contracts, including a significant agreement to supply behind-the-meter LNG for an additional U.S. data center commissioning project. This contract is anticipated to contribute substantially to the company's second half revenues, with expected increases of more than 50% compared to the first half of 2026.
The company has also secured contracts in different phases of data center development, including commissioning and providing bridge power during operations. These opportunities bring varying project lengths and volumes of LNG, offering Stabilis Solutions a strong foundation for growth in this expanding market.
Notably, the company's sights are already set on 2027, with preparations underway for what will be its largest contract ever secured – a behind-the-meter power generation project to provide bridge power for a U.S. data center extending into early 2029. This significant agreement is expected to generate approximately $100 million of revenue annually over its two-year term.
Preparations are well advanced, with Stabilis Solutions receiving $20 million in customer prepayments to fund equipment, mobilization, and readiness for the upcoming project.
