Toyo Co., Ltd. Shines in Q2 2026 with 87.6% Revenue Growth, Strong Manufacturing Platform
Toyo Co., Ltd., a leading player in the global solar industry, has reported impressive financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2026. According to the company's recent conference call transcript, Toyo's revenue for the first half of 2026 reached approximately $261.0 million, marking an impressive 87.6% year-over-year increase from $139.1 million in the same period of 2025.
The growth was driven primarily by higher sales of solar cells and modules, as well as the commencement of OEM services. Notably, revenue from end customers in the U.S. surged 153.9% to approximately $210.5 million, accounting for a significant 80.7% share of Toyo's first half revenue.
Toyo's growth margin expanded to 32.5% in the first half of 2026, up from 16.6% in the prior year period. This improvement reflects the company's efforts to optimize production capacity, enhance consistency, and capitalize on higher average selling prices in the U.S. market.
On a quarterly basis, Toyo reported revenue of approximately $118.2 million, representing a 35% year-over-year increase. Net income for the second quarter of 2026 came in at around $17.4 million, up from $6.2 million in the same period of last year.
Chairman and CEO Takahiko Onozuka highlighted the positive implications of the recent Section 232 determination by the Trump administration on polysilicon and its derivatives. According to Onozuka, this development is expected to support strong module pricing and may benefit Toyo's solar cells produced at its Ethiopia facility.
However, trade policy uncertainty has also affected the pace of some shipments from the company's Ethiopia facility during the quarter. Chief Strategy Officer Rhone Resch noted that this reflects a timing issue tied to an active regulatory process rather than a change in underlying customer demand.
Toyo's strong financial performance and expanding global manufacturing platform position the company for continued growth in the solar industry. As the company continues to navigate trade policy developments, investors will be keenly watching for further updates on its progress."
