Twilio Accelerates Growth Momentum with Record-Breaking Q2 2026 Performance
Twilio Inc. has announced exceptional second-quarter results, delivering $1.5 billion in revenue and accelerating organic growth to 17% year-over-year. The company's non-GAAP gross profit growth also accelerated to 18% year-over-year.
In a call with investors on August 6th, Twilio's CEO Khozema Shipchandler highlighted the company's momentum, stating that it is "executing with precision and innovating across the board to power customer conversations in the age of AI."
During the quarter, Twilio hosted its annual user conference, SIGNAL, where brands such as AWS, Centerfield, Koval, Deepgram, IBM, Nestlé, PGA of America, Rivian, Sierra, and Stripe took the stage to share how Twilio is driving ROI for their businesses. This year's SIGNAL was especially memorable because the company announced the general availability of its next-generation platform.
The new conversations layer includes features such as Conversation Memory, Conversation Orchestrator, Conversation Intelligence, Conversation Relay, and Agent Connect. These provide the building blocks customers need to deliver context-rich conversations over a consumer's lifetime. One notable example is Car Finance 247, which joined Twilio's private beta program and quickly evolved into a 7-figure deal.
The company's newly redesigned Twilio Console was also launched in May, giving customers a single command center to manage all of their Twilio workloads. Since the launch, a majority of existing customers have migrated to the new console, and the company is seeing a 90% plus uplift in conversions when compared to the old console.
Twilio's strength across the business was highlighted by robust messaging growth, even as carriers have raised their fees on its customers. While these pass-through costs carry no direct impact on Twilio's profitability, the company recognizes the pressure it creates for its customers, specifically small businesses.
The company generated $285 million in non-GAAP income from operations and $353 million in free cash flow during the quarter. As the company continues to execute with precision and innovate across the board, investors are eagerly awaiting future developments.
