Watts Water Technologies Inc. Posts Record-Breaking Q2 2026 Results Despite Industry Headwinds

Watts Water Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of water solutions, has reported another quarter of better-than-expected results in its second quarter 2026 earnings call. The company delivered record sales, operating income, and earnings per share, exceeding investor expectations.

The company's strong growth in data centers and favorable price were major contributors to the impressive results, with organic sales rising 12% in the quarter. Despite some headwinds from the recent acquisitions and a difficult comparison against a one-time price-cost benefit in the prior year, Watts' adjusted operating margin was still 21%, down only 60 basis points.

Watts' Vice President of Investor Relations, Bob, highlighted the company's progress integrating its recent acquisitions using the One Watts performance system. The five acquisitions completed in 2025 have been performing well and are on track to achieve or exceed targeted synergies.

The Middle East conflict created some headwinds during the quarter, but the company's teams responded with pricing, supply chain, and productivity initiatives to mitigate both direct and indirect impacts. The resilience of Watts' newly acquired Saudi Cast business was also a highlight, with its in-country, for-country business model limiting the impact from disruptions in the region.

Watts' diversified portfolio of water solutions has provided a strong foundation across different economic environments. While residential and non-institutional new construction markets remain challenged, the company has continued to execute well and allocate resources towards high-growth market opportunities, including its data center initiatives.

The demand in data center cooling applications remains accelerated, and Watts is encouraged by the momentum it's seeing. The company continues to see value in its sustainability efforts, which have created meaningful progress against its second generation of environmental goals while expanding innovative solutions that improve safety, water conservation, and energy efficiency.

Watts' strong balance sheet provides ample capacity to support its disciplined capital allocation strategy, including evaluating strategic M&A opportunities, investing in productivity, product innovation, and other key growth initiatives. The company's commitment to solving customers' most critical water challenges while supporting long-term growth is a testament to its leadership in the industry.
