WISeKey Achieves Record-Breaking 116% Revenue Growth in First Half of 2026
WISeKey International Holding has announced its first half 2026 financial results, marking a period of significant progress for the company. Preliminary unaudited revenue increased by an impressive 116% to approximately $11.4 million, compared to $5.3 million in the first half of 2025.
Carlos Moreira, founder and Chief Executive Officer of WISeKey, highlighted the company's continued improvement in financial performance while advancing key strategic priorities. These include the commercialization of post-quantum semiconductor technology, expansion of quantum technology strategy, and development of secure space infrastructure platform.
"The first half of 2026 was a period of meaningful progress for WISeKey," Moreira stated during the earnings conference call. "We continue to improve our financial performance while advancing key strategic priorities."
The company's gross profit increased by an astonishing 192% to $5.5 million, with a corresponding expansion in gross margin to approximately 48%. This reflects improved product mix and the growing contribution from higher value technology, semiconductor, and engineering activities.
WISeKey's strong financial foundation was underscored by its cash reserves of approximately $495 million and minimal debt at June 30. This positions the company for long-term success in commercializing post-quantum technology, building sovereign semiconductors on cybersecurity capabilities, developing quantum platform, expanding trusted digital identities, and advancing secure space infrastructure.
John O'Hara, group CFO, provided an overview of the company's financial performance during the conference call. He noted that preliminary unaudited revenue for the first half of 2026 was $11.4 million, with gross profit increasing by 192% to $5.5 million. Gross margin expanded to approximately 48%, from approximately 35% in the prior year period.
WISeKey's strategic priorities are clear and measurable, with a focus on converting the SEALSQ commercial pipeline into recognized revenue, moving post-quantum semiconductor products towards volume production, completing corporate structure initiatives, and expanding sovereign semiconductor capabilities. The company aims to build value across its technology platforms while maintaining a common root of trust.
