Alpha Cognition Sees Strong Growth and Progress in Q2 2026
Alpha Cognition, a leading pharmaceutical company, has announced strong growth and progress in the second quarter of 2026. The company's flagship product, ZUNVEYL, an oral Alzheimer's treatment, saw significant commercialization success during this period.
According to Michael McFadden, Alpha Cognition's Chief Executive Officer, the second quarter represents another important milestone for ZUNVEYL, with clear sequential growth in demand, expansion of prescriber adoption, and increased nursing home penetration. The company generated approximately $6 million in net product revenues during Q2 2026, a significant increase of 71% compared to Q1 2026.
McFadden attributed the strong performance to disciplined execution and confidence in ZUNVEYL's commercial trajectory. He stated that the company is on track with its 2026 strategic priorities, driving prescription growth and building a durable path toward operating profitability in 2027. The monthly prescription volumes for ZUNVEYL strengthened consistently throughout Q2, demonstrating high single-digit sequential growth each month.
Alpha Cognition's Chief Operating Officer, Lauren D'Angelo, noted that all key performance indicators (KPIs) were positive during the quarter, including increases in prescriber numbers, nursing home prescriptions, and repeat prescriptions. This strong commercial performance is expected to continue as the company scales the ZUNVEYL brand in the long-term care segment.
In addition to commercial success, Alpha Cognition made significant progress on its clinical and medical programs during Q2 2026. The company reported positive top-line results from the BEACON study, demonstrating improvements in cognition, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and activities of daily living (ADLs) following initiation of ZUNVEYL. The findings also showed reductions in polypharmacy, a key outcome for long-term care practitioners treating patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease.
The company initiated the CONVERGE study, a retrospective data review in long-term care, and RESOLVE, which has sites selected, activated, and initial patient enrollment underway. The positive results from these studies are expected to strengthen ZUNVEYL's positioning with payers and healthcare providers over the long term.
Henry Du, Interim CFO, VP Accounting and Finance, will provide detailed financial information during the call, while Lauren D'Angelo will offer a comprehensive commercial update. The company continues to execute with discipline and confidence, demonstrating its commitment to driving growth and progress in the pharmaceutical industry.
