Axsome Therapeutics Powers Ahead in Q2 2026: Strong Commercial Growth and Regulatory Progress

August 10, 2026 – Axsome Therapeutics made significant strides in the second quarter of this year, marked by robust commercial growth and important regulatory and clinical progress across its innovative neuroscience pipeline.

The company's commercial portfolio generated $218 million in net product revenue during the quarter, a staggering 46% increase year-over-year. This impressive growth was driven by strong performance for AUVELITY, which saw a 51% increase in net product sales compared to Q2 of 2025, reaching $180.3 million. SUNOSI also showed a 20% year-over-year growth with $35.8 million in net product revenue.

Axsome's commercial team made significant strides during the quarter, launching AUVELITY in Alzheimer's disease agitation and expanding its sales force for the product. Early metrics from these efforts suggest that AUVELITY is poised to accelerate growth, while SUNOSI is expected to continue outpacing the market. The company's underlying demand growth for SYMBRAVO is also accelerating, setting up a strong year for its entire commercial portfolio.

"The second quarter was highly productive for Axsome as we grew our commercial business robustly and made important regulatory and clinical progress across our innovative neuroscience pipeline," said Dr. Herriot Tabuteau, Chief Executive Officer of Axsome Therapeutics. "We're confident in the strong growth trajectory of our products and are committed to delivering value to patients and stakeholders."

Axsome's commercial success is just one aspect of its impressive performance this quarter. The company also advanced its leading neuroscience pipeline, which includes six innovative product candidates for 10 serious conditions. This broad late-stage pipeline positions Axsome to potentially file on average one new NDA each year between now and 2030.

Axsome's Chief Financial Officer, Nick Pizzie, highlighted the financial performance of the company during the quarter. "Revenue increased to $218 million compared to $150 million in Q2 of 2025, representing a 46% year-over-year growth," he said. "Performance was driven by AUVELITY with steady growth from SUNOSI and continued strength in prescription demand for SYMBRAVO."

The company's pipeline is moving forward rapidly, with several programs showing significant promise. Axsome's team of experts is working diligently to bring new treatments to patients in need, leveraging the company's innovative approach to address complex medical conditions.
