Century Casinos Posts Record-Breaking Q2 2026 Earnings
Century Casinos, a leading global casino entertainment company, has announced a strong and solid quarter in its recent Q2 2026 earnings call. The company's diversified portfolio delivered a remarkable performance, with net operating revenue reaching $152 million, a 1% increase over the same period last year, making it an all-time record for the second quarter.
Adjusted EBITDAR (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, Amortization, and Restructuring Charges) was also at a record high of $31.7 million, representing a 5% increase over Q2 2025. This significant growth in revenue and EBITDAR reflects the continued benefits of Century Casinos' diversified business model, the success of its recent capital investment program, and an increase in gaming activity across its casino portfolio.
However, the company's Polish segment was underperforming due to the temporary closure of the casino at the Hilton Hotel in Warsaw and unusually low hold on the gaming tables. Despite this setback, Century Casinos remains optimistic about improved performance in the coming quarters.
The North American operations, which account for around 90% of the company's total results, had a standout quarter. The core operational metric that will be focused on going forward is U.S. plus Canada, plus corporate EBITDAR, which was up a strong 12% in Q2 and 17% year-to-date. Every property within this portfolio has seen revenue and EBITDAR growth, with most properties experiencing double-digit increases year-over-year.
Notably, the Nugget property posted impressive performance figures, with revenue and EBITDAR up 16% and 93%, respectively. Additionally, Missouri and Colorado also showed strong performances during the quarter. The company's ability to increase operating efficiencies throughout its business has allowed it to deliver higher property operating margins than last year.
Century Casinos' diversified portfolio, which includes tour and retail customers as well as a predominantly local repeat customer base, has contributed significantly to its success. The company benefits from guests staying closer to home and spending their dollars locally due to general economic factors, including high airfares and gas prices. Furthermore, strong returns have been seen from the capital investments made over the last two-plus years.
Executive Vice President of U.S. operations, Lyle Randolph, emphasized that a clear pattern has emerged across Century Casinos' U.S. properties, with greater consistency in performance and operational improvements translating into stronger financial results. This is a testament to the company's strategic efforts and dedication to delivering value to its stakeholders.
